Development Co. builds residential, commercial and industrial
properties, primarily in eastern Lorain and western Cuyahoga
counties in northwest Ohio. When Don Schafer founded the

honest value. To this day the company still defines value as "the
best quality at the fairest price."
Two of Don's sons have joined him in the business. Steve, the
company's President since 1991, is a graduate of Avon High School
and the University of Toledo. Joe Schafer, Vice President - Sales
and Marketing, also graduated from Avon High School and earned
a degree in Business Administration from Baldwin-Wallace University.
Both Steve and Joe are very active in the community, and are
especially interested in a number of youth athletic programs, to which
they've devoted countless hours as volunteer coaches and managers.
